Alicia was reporting on the harrowing incident that took place on March 22, 2023, at Colorado high school and her son was providing her with details from the scene. As soon as she saw her son, she hugged him emotionally on a live broadcast
Acuna was outside Denver, Colorado’s East High School after the frightening experience in which a student carried a gun to school and started shooting at teachers while they were being searched.
During her broadcast, Acuna spotted her son come out of the school across the street and took a moment to rush over and give him a hug. This led to an emotional reunion between her and her son and the incident became a trending topic on social media platforms.
