Who is Allison Langdon?
Allison Langdon is an Australian broadcast journalist and author. She works for 9 NEWS as the co-host of the breakfast program Today alongside Karl Stefanovic. 9NEWS announced in November 2019 that they have appointed the duo and they commenced their respective roles in January 2020. Before being assigned this role, she served as the co-host of the weekend edition of ‘Weekend Today’.

She grew up with her younger sister, Kristen and her older brother, Heath. Kristen was diagnosed with diabetes at the age of 11 and Allison’s empathy became more intense after Kristen’s diabetes worsened and developed renal failure.
In 2014, a kidney and pancreas transplant were needed to save her life. Although it was traumatic for her family, Allison is fiercely devoted to them. Fortunately, they found a donor for a transplant and Allison decided to leave her 60 Minutes assignment in the Gaza Strip to be by her side.

Langdon moved to Nine’s Darwin newsroom in search of additional traveling experience, and during her first year in the Top End, she took home the David Marchbank Award for best new journalist.
Langdon was criticized in February 2009 for her coverage in Marysville, Victoria, which was by then destroyed by the Black Saturday bushfires, that had killed 34 people.

Shocking video of Ally’s accident on February 2021 showed her being dragged from the water by two male rescuers. While recording a watersports feature for The Today Show on the Gold Coast, she suffered a serious knee injury that required surgery.
She was taken to the hospital, received medical treatment, and then took a flight back to Sydney for a knee operation. On Friday’s episode of the program, her co-host Karl Stefanovic said she was “holed up” in the hospital as he covered the floods in Queensland and New South Wales.

Langdon wasn’t really married before settling with her current husband. Instead, she and her crush were both eyeing each other, but they didn’t last in their relationship.
She said that he went too far by writing her sexually graphic love letters, which is why she decided to file a trespassing accusation against him. The man appeared in court on June 22, 2007, entered a not guilty plea, and was ordered not to approach Langdon or Channel Nine’s studios within 500 meters.
