Who Was Anne Heche?

Anne Heche was an American actress. She first gained international recognition for playing the identical twins, Vicky Hudson and Marley Love on the soap series Another World which aired from 1987 to 1991.

Over the past 20 years, she has continuously appeared in minor films, on Broadway, and in TV shows. She recently appeared in repeat episodes of the network television shows “Chicago P.D.” and “All Rise,” and she competed in “Dancing With the Stars” in 2020.

Heche was 53 years old at the time of her death. A native of Aurora, Ohio, she was born on May 25, 1969, and died on August 12, 2022.

Anne Heche Family

Anne was born to Donald Joseph Heche and Nancy Heche. She was raised in a family of five children. During her childhood, her family relocated eleven times, at one point settling in an Amish neighborhood.

At the age of twelve, the family moved to Ocean City, New Jersey. She started working at a dinner theater in Swainton because of the family’s poor financial situation.

Heche’s 45-year-old father passed away on March 3, 1983, from HIV/AIDS, which she thought he acquired from a homosexual lover. Her 18-year-old brother Nathan also perished in a car accident three months after her father’s death.

According to Anne, she was ‘crazy’ in the first 31 years of her life and she claimed that being sexually molested by her father as a kid and infant was what caused this.

In a series of nationally televised appearances, Anne claimed that in order to feel secure, she invented the “Fourth Dimension” and had connections with extraterrestrial life.

She also claimed to have an alter ego. She later claimed that she had overcome her mental health issues, after the Cantua Creek incident, which had reduced her alter ego.

Anne Heche Cause of Death

On August 8, 2022, Heche’s health spokesperson reported that she was in a severe condition and needed emergency ventilation due to a lung injury. The health official added that Anne was not likely to survive because of an anoxic brain injury three days later.

Then, she was put on life support to see if her organs were still healthy enough to be donated in accordance with her expressed desire to be an organ donor.

Heche was declared brain dead a few hours later on August 12 but was kept on a life support machine to determine the viability of organ donors and find recipients.

It was announced on August 15, 2022, Sunday morning that a recipient had been found for her organs and that the life support machine would be switched off later that day.

Anne’s First Child, Homer Laffoon

Anne started dating Ellen DeGeneres in 1997 and they broke up in August 2000. The events that followed their breakup attracted a lot of media attention.

Following their breakup, she began dating cameraman Coleman Laffoon, whom she had first met on Ellen DeGeneres’ stand-up comedy tour the year before.

She married Coleman on September 1, 2001, and in March 2002, the couple welcomed a son named Homer Laffoon. After five and a half years of marriage, Coleman filed for divorce in February 2007. The divorce was finalized in March 2009.

Anne’s Second Child, Atlas Heche Tupper

After breaking up with Coleman, Anne began dating James Tupper. Anne referred to herself and Tupper as “eternally engaged” during their relationship.

The couple welcomed their first child together, a son named Atlas Heche Tupper in 2009. However, Anne and James separated in 2018.
