Betsy started her career way back in May 1997 when she started working for WKJG-TV as a weekend meteorologist. She was employed by the station in the Fort Wayne, Indiana area until August of 2000. She moved to Jacksonville in Florida to work for WTLV/WJXX TV as a weekend meteorologist.
Betsy served in this capacity until February 2003. By this time, she had gained enough experience to work in mainstream media. She joined WKYC in March 2003 and she is among the long-serving employees of the station. She will celebrate her 20-year anniversary if she will still be working at the station in March 2024.
Betsy started hosting “What’s New” & “What’s Now” in January 2020. She became Cleveland’s first female Chief Meteorologist from Cleveland in 2008.
