Altercation With Woman During Service
Lamor made the headlines yet again after allegedly grabbing a woman during a sermon that was being streamed live. The incident took place on Sunday, September 18, 2022. He reportedly grasped the woman, assuming her to be a danger to his family.
He informed the news channel that two women entered the church in Canarsie as he was ministering. The bishop can be seen on tape telling someone to “get her out of here” as heckling goes on in the background.
In the footage, Whitehead can be seen pushing the lady away from the camera and attempting to grasp her by the back of her neck “Grab her! Grab her!” He can also be seen pushing the lady away from the camera and attempting to grasp her by the back of her neck “Grab her! Grab her!”
After the sermon, a detective reportedly showed up at the church and informed Whitehead that he would be taken into custody and charged with assault. The police started to question him at the 69th Precinct station house.
According to the police, the woman, 47-year-old Tarsha Howard, was filming the religious ceremony. Police reported that after being instructed to stop and leave the church, the woman “began to annoy the parish Bishop and approached him on stage.”
In another video, the bishop allegedly claimed that he had let Howard “say her piece” and intervened only when she began to approach his wife and their 10-month-old kid.
