Brett Oppenheim House

Jason Oppenheim spends his days looking at the best L.A. real estate, so it’s no surprise that his most recent personal investment of a $5.125 million residence in the Hollywood Hills is just as lavish as the properties shown on Selling Sunset. He claimed he got the four-bedroom, four-bathroom house in an off-market bargain because it “checks so many essential boxes that I seek for in a property.”

“It’s beautifully positioned in the Hollywood Hills; it’s private and gated; it has wonderful internal scale with 20-foot-high ceilings; it has a big flat, grassy yard with a lovely pool; and it has tremendous views of the entire city,” he says. The 4,874-square-foot property was built by Avengers star Jeremy Renner in 2008, according to the Los Angeles Times, and he sold it in 2013.

Oppenheim got a large discount in the transaction because the property was previously advertised for $6.295 million over the summer before being pulled down in September. According to the Times, this is Oppenheim’s seventh property in the Hollywood Hills in the last five years.

His former residences have been featured on Selling Sunset, where he frequently hosts coworkers-turned-costars such as agents Chrishell Stause, Heather Rae Young, Christine Quinn, Mary Fitzgerald, Davina Portraz, Maya Vander, and Amanza Smith.
