Cameron Young’s Career As a Golfer
Cameron joined the Korn Ferry Tour in July 2020, where he went on to win the AdventHealth Championship, his very first professional match. His first PGA Tour card would be awarded to him in 2021 following another victory on the Korn Ferry Tour.
In terms of major competitions, Cameron made his Master debut in 2022. The golfer returns to the Masters in April 2023 as one of the favorites to win it all after finishing second in the SGC-Dell Match Play competition in Austin, Texas.
When asked about his prospects of winning the Masters in an interview in April 2023, he said;
“I have been performing well. I believe that Austin’s outcome, which came very early in the season, was more typical of it than the majority of the others before it. But I feel like it’s been moving in the right direction, and I’m just thrilled to start the week,”
He also mentioned that his new caddie, Paul Tesori, who had previously worked for former U.S. Open champion Webb Simpson, had taught him a basic few things. He said; ” He has an amazing understanding of golf courses. This might be his 21st Masters, I believe.”
