Larbalestier’s son Lewis Hamilton is a well-known racing driver. He began his career when he was still a teenager. He competed in the national BRCA championship and finished second. Apart from Racing, Lewis participated in football and cricket. Hamilton started karting in 1993 and quickly became a race winner and cadet class champion.

In addition, he won the Bahrain F3 Superprix and raced in the Macau F3 Grand Prix twice. In 2013, he joined Mercedes to replace Michael Schumacher, who was retiring.

Hamilton signed a contract extension with Mercedes in July 2021 that will keep him with the team until the end of 2023. He will team up with George Russell in 2022.
