Chris Cimino is an American meteorologist working for WPIX. He is the meteorologist for “New York’s very own” early morning show from 4 am to 6 am. and co-hosts the PIX lifestyle show 10 AM-11 AM Monday through Friday. Before joining PIX 11, Cimino had a long career of over 23 years at NBC.

Cimino worked for NBC as a meteorologist for almost 24 years. He was the weather forecaster for WNBC’s morning show, Today In New York, and also served as the fill-in weather anchor for Al Roker on NBC’s Today Show as well as their regular weekend weather anchor for two years.
In his broadcasting career, Chris has covered many significant weather events, including crippling blizzards, severe weather, tropical storms, and Superstorm Sandy, and how they impacted the country’s largest TV market, New York City, and the Tri-State region.
Chris had the opportunity to interview many celebrities while working at WNBC; his favorite icon was Elton John.

Life After NBC (The F-Bomb)
In 2019, Chris drop the f-bomb live on air without realizing his mic was on. At that time, he was removing family pictures (from a trip when Nancy was okay) from his work computer and said; “It’s just a weird f—ing thing, it’s just strange,”
Three weeks later, his bosses at NBC told him that they would not be renewing his contract which had nothing to do with the on-air slip-up. He left NBC after working there for over 23 years.
