Dale Hansen is an American sportscaster working for WFAA as a sports anchor and Sports Director. He hosts Dale Hansen’s Sports Special on Sundays at 10:35 pm and anchors the weeknight sports segment during the 10 pm newscasts.

He joined WFAA in 1983 as a sportscaster for the 10 pm newscast. His first story which made headlines was in 1986 when he exposed the scandals involving payments to players on Southern Methodist University’s football team. He also won a DuPont-Columbia Award, a Peabody Award for outstanding journalism,  and numerous death threats for covering the story.

Dale became the Sports Director WFAA. He anchors the weeknight sports segment during the 10 pm newscasts and hosts Dale Hansen’s Sports Special on Sundays at 10:35 pm.
