Dani Beckstrom worked as the Chief Meteorologist at the ABC affiliate in Las Vegas, Nevada, until joining the meteorologists at ABC7NY and Eyewitness News in August 2022. Before moving to Las Vegas, she worked as the morning meteorologist at WFTX in Fort Myers.
She returned to Boise to assume her role as the morning weather forecaster at the ABC affiliate KIVI after serving as an anchor and reporter at KPVI in Eastern Idaho for a year soon after graduating.
Dani relocated from Boise to Fort Myers, Florida, to get expertise in both severe weather and tropical meteorology. In September 2017, when Hurricane Irma made landfall on Marco Island, she played a critical role in keeping southwest Florida safe and informed.
She spent years covering hurricanes at our Scripps sister station in Fort Myers, Florida, before joining the team of meteorologists at KTNV in June 2019. As she settles down in Las Vegas, she can’t wait to keep the heat and leave the dampness behind.
Dani is prepared to take on the challenging task of preparing southern Nevada for anything that nature brings on their way because she has expertise in forecasting everything from heavy snow to lethal heat.

Yes! The ABC7 meteorologist has a sister named Jenna Beckstrom. Jenna is Miss Idaho Teen USA 2022 and 1st runner-up to Miss Teen USA. On September 10, 2022, she posted her sister’s photo on her Instagram page with a sweet caption that read;
“My proudest accomplishment will always be being @jenna.beckstrom’s big sister. We’ve all heard the saying “pressure makes diamonds” and after all, she’s carried (with both grit and grace) this past year- she has never shined brighter!
