In this segment, we are taking a look back at his incredible career at WXYZ, where he began as a sports anchor and reporter, then as a daily evening anchor for the 7 Action News team.
Dave transitioned from serving as a sports anchor in 2004 to serving as a news anchor, first on the weekends and later as the primary anchor.
He has received honors from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences as a Silver Circle recipient and has won four Emmy Awards.
His resume indicates that he formerly worked for WLNS-TV and WJBK-TV in Lansing before joining Channel 7. He also worked as a radio announcer and covered the University of Detroit basketball team’s games.
Dave created and presented “Golf Michigan,” and many other specials on Channel 7, such as the Woodward Dream Cruise, Light Up the Season, and the Rochester Hometown Christmas Parade.
He has covered three Super Bowls, the World Series, Stanley Cup Finals, NBA Finals, The Masters, U.S. Open, and Ryder Cup games. Being a board member of The Rainbow Connection, however, is very important to Dave.
