Muir joined ABC News in August 2003 working as an anchor of the overnight news program World News Now. He was also the anchor of ABC News’ early morning newscast World News This Morning (America This Morning) and later anchored World News Saturday from June 2007.
Muir co-anchored the newsmagazine Primetime in 2006 and on occasion thereafter. He took over as weekend news anchor in February 2012, and the show was renamed World News with David Muir.
