Who is Deborah Roberts?
Deborah Roberts, a famous television journalist, is best known as the wife of Al Roker. He is pursuing the same career as her husband. Deborah is an employee of the ABC broadcast television network’s ABC News division.
On the other hand, her husband co-hosts 3rd Hour Today on a few occasions and serves as Today’s weather anchor on NBC.
Deborah began working in local television in 1982 at Columbus, Georgia’s WTVM before moving on to Knoxville, Tennessee’s WBIR to keep going with her career. She worked as a general-assignment reporter for NBC News before becoming a journalist for the newsmagazine program Dateline NBC.
In 1995, Roberts made a career move to ABC News where she worked as a correspondent for the newsmagazine program 20/20, an anchor for the weekend evening newscast World News Tonight Weekend, and a reporter for Good Morning America.
She served as a guest host on The View, an ABC Daytime talk show, throughout the months of July and September 2006. Roberts’ reporting has earned her an Emmy and a Clarion Award.

Roberts first met her future husband In 1990, not long after landing a job as a correspondent for NBC’s Today. Even though they had been accustomed for two years, the couple didn’t go on a date until 1992. Roker’s first marriage lasted from 1984 through 1992, during which time he was married to Alice Bell.
On The Kelly Clarkson Show, Roker discussed how he met Roberts and revealed that his wife had requested him to keep an eye over her place of residence at the time she was in Barcelona covering the Summer Olympics for NBC.

On January 1st, 1994, Roker asked Roberts to marry him and Roberts accepted the proposal. He followed through on his promise, and while they were gazing off into the Grand Canyon on New Year’s Day while on a business trip to Arizona, he proposed to her.
Fast forward, the couple exchanged vows in the presence of their loved ones and close friends at Manhattan’s St. Thomas Episcopal Church. Some of their celebrity friends were Barbara Walters and Katie Couric.
The couple expressed their affection for each other on social media in honor of their silver wedding anniversary. Roberts wrote, “It can’t possibly have been 25 years ago. Could it? 25 years of love, humor, peaks, valleys, exploration, perplexity, happiness, hardship, and everything else this path has to offer.”
