Even though Glenda was raised by a legendary broadcaster, a career in mainstream media had never been her life’s ambition. When asked why she decided to work in broadcasting after college, she related the experience of her very first job interview.
As soon as she completed a personality assessment for an interview, she discovered that all of her strongest traits were related to her work as a reporter.
In order to prepare for her newly chosen career path, she completed post-graduate coursework at the Specs Howard School of Broadcasting. She started her career as a reporter/photographer at WBKB-TV in Alpena before making her way back to her hometown.
She then worked as a reporter and anchor for WLNS-TV in Lansing. Prior to joining Channel 7, she spent five years co-anchoring ABC 12 News at 6 and 11 PM on WJRT-TV in Flint.
