Harris Faulkner and her husband are parents to two kids. According to Faulkner, her daughters are “Examples” of what a community with common goals “Can Do.” For instance, in the wake of George Floyd’s murder, there was a spike in racial unrest in America, and she talked to her daughters candidly about it.
Harris Faulkner appreciates that her family stands for progress. The Outnumbered Overtime co-host and Fox News anchor claims that conversations that do with race are nothing new in her family.
The reason why parents nowadays are “forced” to have difficult conversations with their children today, however, is a quite different scenario, according to Faulkner, who explains it in the context of the social instability that occurred in the United States after the murder of George Floyd.
The TV anchor said, “My family is ecumenical and it is biracial so the fact that we are having race discussions is not a surprise.”
“It is just that we are being forced to acknowledge some things at this point that I thought the country was developing and moving past, and we remain trapped in our inability to not separate out into our own corners in those times of crisis.”
She continues, “I am teaching my girls that the only place to find peace is in the middle of the room.”

The Fox News presenter mentions her husband’s Jewish ancestry and claims that during tough times, she makes her girls aware of their mixed origins and tells them that they are a symbol of progress and unity.
She says; “We are raising our girls predominantly Christian, but they are exposed to everything we do Passover and the Haggadah biracial children, to me, are a perfect example of where the culture should be.”
“That is what I teach my daughters. I tell them, ‘You are the model of what society can achieve if we all work together in unison.'”
Despite their early ages, Faulkner keeps her daughters updated by teaching them about national affairs while she works in the news.
