Jason Derusha WCCO-TV

Derusha began working as a news anchor for WCCO in April 2003. He delivered reports for all newscasts while anchoring WCCO this Morning. He worked as a part-time substitute anchor for WCCO-AM Talk Host in January 2011. However, his tenure with WCCO-TV came to an end in June 2022.

He has been named the new afternoon drive host at AM 830 WCCO radio, where he will present from 3-6 p.m, Monday through Friday, replacing Paul Douglas and Jordana Green. DeRush was showered with congratulations and happy times as the station went all-out in honoring DeRusha’s career.

With DeRusha switching to radio, the historic Minnesota radio station will lead to the following steps; Green, who is presently receiving cancer treatment, will collaborate with Adam Carter to co-host a mid-morning show from 9 a.m. to noon, while Douglas will take over as the station’s lead meteorologist.

Carter has served as the station’s news anchor and reporter and frequently appears with Chad Hartman on The Chad Hartman Show, which will continue to air from 12 to 3 p.m. The station’s morning drive program will continue to be The Morning News with Vineeta Sawkar.
