He actually started his career while still a college student, working part-time at Meridian, Mississippi’s WTOK-TV and ABC 17 (KMIZ) in Columbia, Missouri soon after graduating from college.
Jason has covered a wide range of weather-related events from hurricanes to tornadoes and blizzards. On April 27, 2011, he was live on the radio and witnessed the extent of the devastation in several areas of Alabama. After the catastrophic event, he took action by volunteering in the affected areas to participate in the rebuilding process and sending supplies that he was unable to reach in person.
