Who is Jeff Zucker?
Jeff Zucker (Jeffrey Adam Zucker) is a former media executive in the United States. He was previously the president and CEO of NBCUniversal. Zucker was a visiting executive at Columbia Business School. Zucker was the president of CNN Worldwide from January 2013 to February 2022. Zucker was in charge of CNN, CNN International, HLN, and CNN Digital.

Zucker announced On February 2, 2021, Zucker announced he would step down at the end of the year. He resigned from CNN on February 2nd, 2022.
On January 1, 2013, Zucker was named President of CNN Worldwide. His hiring was widely applauded by the network and its anchors. According to Anderson Cooper, Zucker was “the first CNN president to actually watch CNN.” In December 2013, Zucker stated that his goal for the channel was to provide viewers with an “attitude and a take,” with a greater emphasis on reality-style documentary series (expanding upon the success of its documentary acquisition Blackfish, and new series Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown).
Zucker stated that he wanted CNN to appeal to more regular viewers of factual networks (such as A&E, Discovery, and History) and to invest more in the network’s digital properties.

Zucker formally resigned from CNN in February 2022. Zucker admitted in his resignation letter that he did not disclose a romantic relationship with a CNN colleague when it began. During the network’s investigation into Chris Cuomo, the relationship was brought up.
In his resignation memo, he said;
“As part of the investigation into Chris Cuomo’s tenure at CNN, I was asked about a consensual relationship with my closest colleague, someone I have worked with for more than 20 years. I acknowledged the relationship evolved in recent years, I was required to disclose it when it began but I didn’t, I was wrong. As a result, I am resigning today,”
“I came to CNN on January 18, 2013. Together, we had nine great years. I certainly wish my tenure here had ended differently. But it was an amazing run. And I loved every minute. I am grateful to the thousands of incredibly talented CNN and Turner Sports employees who helped make this such a joy for me, and such a success for all of us. I wish each of you nothing but the best in the years ahead. With gratitude and love. Jeff.”

Zucker’s replacement has not been announced yet. Jason Kilar, the CEO of CNN parent WarnerMedia issued a statement shortly following Jeff’s abrupt resignation saying;
