MSNBC announced Lemire as the next host of its early morning news show Way Too Early in October 2021, succeeding Kasie Hunt as a full-time reporter. He has also designated the role of Politico’s White House bureau chief, effective November 2021.

He previously worked as a White House reporter for The AP before joining Politico where he reported for two presidential administrations for the Associated Press, first Donald Trump and currently Joe Biden’s reign.

Before joining the AP in 2013, he worked for the New York Daily News for nearly ten years, reporting on the 2012 presidential election, City Hall, and the September 11th terrorist attacks.
