Jeffrey needed full-time care after what was meant to be a routine operation left him in a wheelchair. It was life-altering for him and the entire family. Jeffrey who currently resides in a group home in Maryland, says that his family’s love and encouragement helped him get where he is now.

Amna Nawaz, the main correspondent for PBS Newshour, and Geoff Bennett, the anchor of PBS News Weekend, were chosen to replace Judy at PBS NewsHour. The program launched on Monday, January 2, 2023 with the new co-anchors.
