In December 2020, Avery joined KMOV-TV in St Louis, Missouri as a multimedia journalist. In addition to her role as a journalist, she has also served at First United Methodist Church since 2005 in Various Mission Trips. They help to combat disasters and provide humanitarian relief.
Moreover, they have held countless events and trips over the years including painting houses, drywalling, roofing, and constructing handicap ramps among others.
