It was confirmed that Emdur will take over as The Chase Australia’s new host in 2021. This was after Seven Network decided not to renew Andrew O’Keefe’s contract at the end of 2020 before O’Keefe was charged with assault in January 2021.
He was reportedly on the verge of not signing his contract with the Seven Network at the end of the previous year. The network decided to give him the role of host for The Chase in an effort to convince him to stay.
After the final episode with Andrew O’Keefe aired on July 20, 2021, the programs with Emdur as the host started broadcasting on July 26, 2021.
