In February 2016, Stephens released her first single, “No More Talking.” On the 2016 single “Tough on the Internet,” she collaborated with Lil Niqo, a fellow The Rap Game competitor. At the 2016 Georgia Music Awards, she also received the Youth Hip Hop/R&B Award. On October 2, 2016, she released her first mixtape, Miss Mulatto.
Her second mixtape, “Latto Let Em Know,” was released in April 2017. Molly Brazy, Lil Key, Crucial, and Silentó were among the artists featured on the tape. Stephens appeared as a contestant on Jermaine Dupri and Queen Latifah’s Lifetime reality show The Rap Game in 2016. Over the course of eight weeks, the boot camp-style series followed young aspiring rappers as they competed against one another.
