Leslie Berland Twitter Leaked Audio
A 45-minute recording of a company-wide call in which Twitter employees questioned board member Bret Taylor and CEO Parag Agrawal about the company’s direction in the aftermath of Elon Musk’s acquisition of the social media platform.
Taylor began by saying, “I also just want to acknowledge all the emotions of today. It is an emotional day. I want to acknowledge it. By law, we are required to act in the best interest of our shareholders.”
Berland then said: “Elon made it clear in public that a large part of the reason he bought the platform was because of our moderation policies and disagreements in how we deal with health. This puts Twitter service and Trust and Safety as well as anybody who cares about health on the platform in a very difficult position.”
However, the leaked audio did not sit well with some of the public. She had to respond on her Twitter saying;
Hi! At every Twitter global all-hands, I read real-time Qs that come in from our employees. It’s always open and unfiltered. An audio clip of me reading was leaked, edited and misrepresented as my (and the company’s) views.
