Where is Mayim Bialik Going After Her Show was Canceled at Fox?
Who is Mayim Bialik?
Mayim Bialik is an American actress, game show host, and author. She starred in the NBC comedy Blossom from 1991 to 1995 as the lead character. It was revealed that Bialik would emcee the primetime edition of Jeopardy! in August 2021.
Later that month, when Mike Richards stopped hosting the syndicated edition of the program, Bialik took over (jointly with Ken Jennings) and began simultaneously presenting that edition as well.
She plays the lead role in her sitcom, Call Me Kat, and also serves as executive producer. The comedy series centers on Kat (Mayim Bialik), a 39-year-old unmarried woman “who struggles daily against society and her mother to prove that you cannot have everything you want – and still be happy.”
She uses the funds her parents laid aside for her wedding to run a cat café in Louisville after quitting her position as a lecturer at the University of Louisville.

What Happened To Mayim Bialik’s Show, “Call Me Kat?”
According to sources on Friday, May 5, Bialik’s sitcom Call Me Kat has been canceled after three seasons. The announcement was made just moments after the network broadcast the season finale of the show.
It also happened just after Ken Jennings, 48, stopped presenting syndicated Jeopardy! and Mayim took over for the first time since last summer. The Resident and 911, two other Fox comedies, have both left the network after this season, but 911 will go to ABC for Season 7.
Leslie Jordan, who played Mayim’s co-star in the comedy Call Me Kat, passed away tragically at the age of 67 while on his way to the show’s set late last year. Leslie’s tragic death forced the show to pause production midway through the season, in October 2022.
Mayim paid an emotional tribute on her Instagram to her late cast member by posting a few pictures of him and donning his trademark rainbow shoes while filming an episode.
Husband
Mayim was married to Michael Stone a prominent businessman from 2003 to 2013. They have two sons, Miles and Frederick.
Net Worth
As a successful actress, Mayim is estimated to be worth $25 million as of 2024.
Was There Any Clue That Mayim’s Sitcom Was Coming To an End?
Call Me Kat broke the fourth wall in what ended up being the end of both the season and the entire series. This came as a surprise to all viewers. The whole cast and crew said goodbye as the program came to an end, and actress Cheyenne unveiled a T-shirt bearing the photo of the late Leslie, a beloved former cast member.

Where is Mayim Bialik Going After Her Show Was Canceled at Fox?
The Season 3 finale of Call Me Kat which featured plans for a wedding party among the characters, premiered on Fox on May 4. However, viewers were unable to celebrate the assurance of a Season 4 at the time.
Even though Fox has already picked up scripted series like Accused and The Cleaning Lady for the 2023–2024 TV season, Mayim Bialik’s return as Kat is not yet confirmed.
The future of Call Me Kat has not yet been officially announced by Fox or Call Me Kat’s production team, but cast member Cheyenne Jackson revealed in an Instagram Q&A that he expects the announcement of renewal to happen in “four to five weeks.”
Jackson’s Instagram account no longer has the Q&A, but the response came out around the beginning of April. The announcement of renewal or cancellation should happen soon if his timeline stays true.
While Call Me Kat isn’t in a particularly dire situation to be considered for a spot with programs like Welcome To Flatch and Fantasy Island, Fox currently has several entries on the list of 2023 TV shows that will likely get canceled unless anything changes.
