Michael Corriero Hot Bench

Hot Bench aired for the first time in first-run syndication on September 15, 2014. Corriero is one of three judges on the program which was started by Judge Judy Sheindlin.

Three judges namely; Michael Corriero, Tanya Acker, and Patricia DiMango preside over small-claims cases on the television show. Before reaching a decision, the judges debate the case’s arguments among themselves in the chamber.

Acker was an attorney prior to being chosen to participate in the program, while Corriero had worked for the New York State court system. DiMango formerly served on the Brooklyn, New York Supreme Court before accepting this position.

The panel serves as an arbitral tribunal, and similar to the majority of televised court programs, the cases are forms of resolving disputes in which the parties renounce filing a lawsuit in preference of appearing on the program.

September 9, 2019, marked the start of the sixth season of the show. Hot Bench ranked third among all daytime television programs in its first season with 3.1 million daily viewers for the 2018–19 season.
