Thomas Uncles, a geeky street kid (played by Damon Wayans Jr.), loves street dancing but is forced to work for a gang boss. Later, Megan develops a friendship with Charity, Thomas’ ghetto sister who is a bad parent to her infant.
Charity is struggling with her own problems because her “baby daddy” (Shawn Wayans), who is likewise a bad parent, is a dumb. As Megan and Thomas spend more time together, they start to dance together and develop feelings for one another.
