Arriving medical personnel were also unable to identify any swelling, redness, bruises, or fractured bones on Ndoye’s foot. As a result, the police did not file any criminal charges against Raphael in the aftermath of the incident.

Ndoye submitted a request to the court in February 2022 to change their child custody arrangement, giving her “more custody of their two young children so she can complete a Harvard University program.” She also requested a review of child support payments.

She worked closely with The Partnership for Freedom in Atlanta, where she was designated Senior Human Trafficking Fellow and a member of the Mayor’s executive cabinet. The Partnership for Freedom is a public-private initiative that focuses on developing innovative solutions that will eradicate modern-day slavery.

Ndoye continues this work today with Georgia’s Criminal Justice Coordinating Council (CJCC) where she is setting the bar for how the State of Georgia will combat agricultural labor trafficking.

She is on the board of directors for Wellspring Living, a non-profit organization that offers specialized assistance services through residential and community-based programs to persons who have been or are at risk of sex trafficking.

She joined the board of Motherhood Beyond Bars in 2020, the only nonprofit in the state of Georgia that provides health education, public awareness, and support for pregnant mothers in jail or prison and the people who look after their newborn children. Ndoye continues to research this through the Maternal Health Leadership Lab at Harvard.
