Duensing joined the CBS 17 Storm Team in June 2021 and enjoys the opportunity to be a member of the Weather Team. She is a Certified Broadcast Meteorologist by the American Meteorological Society. Viewers can watch her forecasts every evening at 7 p.m.

Prior to relocating to Raleigh, she worked as the weekend morning meteorologist for three years at NBC2 in sunny Fort Myers, Florida. She covered many kinds of weather forecasting at NBC2, including tropical storms, hurricanes, and everyday thunderstorms.

She developed a passion for the complex parts of tropical systems there, but she also lost her Midwest tolerance for the cold.
