Raquel Welch was an American actress. She gained fame for the first time thanks to her role in Fantastic Voyage (1966), during which she signed a deal with 20th Century Fox.
She established a unique acting style that cemented her status as an icon of the 1960s and 1970s with her portrayal of strong female roles that helped her in shattering the mold of the conventional sex symbol.
Hollywood’s aggressive promotion of the blonde bombshell was said to have come to an end after her rise to fame in the middle of the 1960s.

Who is Raquel Welch’s Husband?
James Welch and his high school lover, Raquel married on May 8, 1959. They welcomed two children together, Damon Welch on November 6, 1959, and Latanne “Tahnee” Welch on December 26, 1961.
Raquel and James divorced in 1964 after their separation in 1962, but she has continued to use the Welch last name. In 1967, she married producer Patrick Curtis; they were divorced in 1972.
She again married producer André Weinfeld in 1980 and divorced him in 1990. Richard Palmer, the proprietor of Mulberry Street Pizzeria, and Welch were married in 1999; however, they eventually divorced. Welch stated she won’t get married again.

Welch defined herself as conservative in 2014 during an appearance on The O’Reilly Factor and attributed this to the ideals of her mother’s upbringing in the Midwest. She attended United Service Organizations (USO) performances during the Vietnam War to demonstrate her support for the military.
