Who was Sam Rubin?

Sam Rubin was an American broadcast journalist who served as an entertainment reporter for the KTLA Morning News. He also worked as a correspondent for Reelz’s production Hollywood Dailies.

Sam also presented the celebrity conversation show Hollywood Uncensored with Sam Rubin and Live From the Academy Awards. He won a Golden Mike award for best entertainment reporter and an Associated Press Television and Radio award with the KTLA news team.

Rubin was 64 years old at the time of his death. He was born on February 16, 1960, in San Diego, California, USA. Rubin died on May 10, 2024.

According to Variety,  Rubin died at his home of a heart attack after doing his regular Hollywood news segments on KTLA’s 7-9 a.m. “Morning News” program on Friday. His last on-air interview was with actress Jane Seymour, filmed on Thursday.

Rubin was known to many celebrities in Los Angeles due to his lively interviews. Many of them pored tributes and sent condolences to his family on Twitter.
