She has served as the health editor of “The Guardian” for over ten years, publishing news articles, features, and analysis on a wide variety of subjects both in and beyond the UK.
While the majority of her work is focused on medical, scientific, and health policy challenges in the United Kingdom, she has widened her scope to address the growing globalization of health and the needs of third world countries. During her 37-year work at the Guardian, she received a number of prizes for her work on HIV/AIDS in Africa.
Some of the awards include the One World Media award and the European component of the Lorenzo Natali Award, which was granted by the European Commission.
