Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil have been in a relationship since 2014. However, they kept it a secret until 2019 when they publicly said they have been dating since they first starred in the teleseries Forevermore in 2014.

Gil and Liza had appeared in other Philippine movies and tv series together where they played minor roles. It was until they were paired in Forevermore as love interests that the love team LizQuen began.

Other love teams which had also been formed include KAthNiel by Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla, and Jadine by Nadine Lustre, and James Reid. There has always been a possibility of a love team dating in real life.

Liza and Gil were 16 years and 22 years old in 2014 respectively. At that time, Liza was too young to publicly date and also have kissing scenes in movies.

They were at that time taking their relationship slow until Liza reached 18. Since then, LizQuen has starred in a number of TV shows and movies together. They have also done business and partnered with other brands as a team.

They have also traveled the world together and met each other’s parents (part of Quen’s family lives in Spain while part of Liza’s family is in the US).

Forevermore was a very huge success that birthed their love team and worked together on other future projects. The romantic tv series also gained international fame as people from all over the world were impressed by the love story.

Forevermore follows the life of Maria Agnes Calay, a young beautiful hardworking daughter of a strawberry farmer in La Presa, Benguet, and Alexander “Xander” Grande III, the rebellious, broken, only child of a hotel magnate.

Agnes and her father were transporting their fresh strawberry to the market when Xander crashes into the truck while BASE Jumping. His parents force him to work on the farm to pay for his damages alongside Agnes and the rest of the La Presa community.

After living there for weeks, the people from Lapresa are able to transform him into a hardworking and understanding man. They end up falling in love but soon after, they are met with challenges from people around them.

Xander is forced to sacrifice his love for their peace. He had to leave with his crazy ex-girlfriend Kate so that Kate’s father would stop the land-grabbing process of the La Pressa Community.

They meet up two years later when Agness is in college and Xander is now a businessman in Manila. Xander tries all tactics to win her back and ask for her forgiveness which took a long time but eventually they get back together.

Enrique Gil is six years older than Liza Soberano. At first, people were questioned about their age but Quen is very respectful of Liza’s choices. They even fit together as couples which have made their relationship last.

So as they have shared most of their adulthood, part of them feels the need to grow in terms of career and business. When Liza left her old agent Star Magic, fans were questioning if the love team has broken up.

Liza joined James Reid’s label Careless Music Manila in 2022 while Quen remained in Star Magic. They also announced that they wished to do their businesses and future projects separately.

At the same time, Quen had traveled to Spain to be with his family while Liza was working in the United States. Liza however clarified that she and Quen are very much okay.

In fact, they even video call every day and her boyfriend knows her every move and supports her. A few months later, they were seen holding hands together which confirmed the couple is still going strong.

Liza wishes to expand her acting career in Hollywood. She has already been cast in the upcoming horror film Lisa Frankenstein alongside Cole Sprouse.
