Steve is the anchor and senior editor of TVO’s flagship current affairs program The Agenda with Steve Paikin. Each show delves deeply into one or two subjects, providing viewers with expert analysis and lively discussion between media personalities and professionals.
He started working for TVO in 1992, where he hosted the political program Between the Lines until 1994. Additionally, he was a co-creator and longtime host of the Queen’s Park magazine Fourth Reading. Paikin started co-hosting Studio 2 in 1994 and continued doing so until 2006, first with Mary Hynes for two years and then with Paula Todd.
TVO terminated Studio 2 in 2006 and started airing The Agenda with Steve Paikin in its place. He is frequently chosen to moderate debates for elections.
