Trae tha Truth is an American rapper and record executive. He began his musical career in 1998, and with the release of his solo album Losing Composure, he quickly rose to prominence in the Texas hip hop scene (2003).
That same year, he gained more exposure on the Houston rap scene, after making his rapping debut with a guest appearance on Z-Ro’s album Look What You Did to Me.
Trae is well-known for his activism and philanthropy in addition to his music career. He founded Angel by Nature, a foundation that works with Texas’s disadvantaged youths.
He also established Relief Gang, a nonprofit organization that was first established to aid Houstonians in rebuilding their houses and to provide food and education in the wake of Hurricane Harvey in 2017.
