Zenobia Shroff is an Indian-born American actress, comedian, and writer. She has over thirty years of experience as a teaching artist and sketch comedian. She is well-known for playing the leading role of Muneeba Khan on the Disney+ TV series Ms. Marvel and in the 2017 film The Big Sick.

Shroff broke the media scenes at a very young age. She started working as a commercial print model when she was sixteen years old. She enjoyed seven successful years as a model and later decided to enter the acting scenes. Professionally, she began her career in Mumbai, where she was trained by the renowned Pearl Padamsee.

Until today, Shroff credits Padamsee who encouraged her to attend the Circle in the Square Theatre School in New York. She kept on honing her skills at the off-Broadway theater Castillo shortly after, where she performed in a variety of parts for German avant-gardist Heiner Muller to Nora in Ibsen’s A Doll’s House.

Her one-woman performance of her show, “How to Succeed as an Ethnically Ambiguous Actor,” received praise from the critics and was up for nomination in the category of Best Actress at the Planet Connection Theatre Festival. Her run at the Castillo Theatre off-Broadway was likewise a great success.
