Todd Suttles Parents, Childhood
Suttles was raised in a humble background. His strength development started way back on the family farm where his parents; Julia and Paul grew sorghum, beans, sugar cane, corn, and other crops. He was one of seven children working the land at the time.
His father, Paul also operated a tree-trimming business. Paul was so much bothered when he saw his children loitering around.
Their family struggled to make ends meet and they helped neighbors groom their gardens, help on their farms, and give away any extra food after a harvest to people in need when they weren’t working or singing.
Todd joined the Suttles Family band not long after making his church debut at age 2 because his father believed that singing praises to Jesus was very important. His first performances were in prisons and nursing homes when he was just 7 years old.
Suttles sang during most of his early years. He once sang at his aunt’s church in Chattanooga and the preacher was so touched by his performance that he immediately started a collection to buy the 6-year-old a new suit.

Todd Suttles The Gaither Vocal Band
Suttles has performed for the legendary Southern gospel group Gaither Vocal Band for the past eight years. That serves as a nice memoir of his early years when he snuck onto the stage of his native church south of Chattanooga.
In December 2013, Gaither invited him to a performance by the Gaither Vocal Band at Lipscomb University. A few weeks later, Suttles received another invitation from Gaither to perform with the group at a few events in Texas.
Suttles began playing Gaither Vocal Band songs repeatedly out of excitement, for up to five hours each day. Suttles claimed that singing uses muscle memory in a similar way to weight training.
Gaither even gave Suttles a solo in front of 2,000 at a church in Longview, Texas. Suttles, who is one of the most charming and well-liked members of the band, absolutely killed the performance and has remained with the group ever since.
His friends noted that irrespective of whether they are pupils, clients, or fans, their dazzling charisma and upbeat energy lure people to them. That, according to Suttles, is a result of his religion and the mission and teachings that his parents instilled in him.
