Tierney began working as a radio personality in Allentown, Pennsylvania, in 1999 and swiftly rose to national prominence as a radio host for the syndicated Sports Fan Radio Network. At some point, he relocated to Detroit, where he hosted Sports Radio 1130’s highly regarded lunchtime show, “The Fan,” from 2001 to 2003.
