Katie McGraw is an American broadcast meteorologist. She serves as the weather anchor for WEWS-live TV’s weekend morning and midday newscasts. Before joining the station, she worked as a weekend morning meteorologist at WDRB News in Louisville.
Katie briefly worked at Scalia Laboratory For Atmospheric Analysis as a forecaster while she was a college student. She had her first job at Wickliffe Aquatic Center as a Lifeguard and Water Aerobics instructor in June 2004.

McGraw began her career as an intern at WMAQ NBC 5. She helped Ginger Zee by doing studies on weather conditions and forecasting. It was her first experience with the 3rd shift schedule and embraced it.
Additionally, she helped in the creation of daily weather forecasts for broadcast on the air, attended and contributed to community safety workshops, and assisted in the creation and editing of weekly weather feature packages.
She researched and dealt with weather issues while attending Ohio University and was promoted to weather broadcast producer for the 2011–2012 academic year. She also anchored live weather forecasts for WOUB.
Her next stint was WHIZ Media Group where she worked as a General Assignment Reporter and anchor. She created and edited news and weather during the week, reported on them on the weekends, mastered the use of WSI graphics software, and provided daily radio bulletins on WHIZ’s AM and FM stations for news and weather.
In January 2014, she joined WICU 12News as a morning and afternoon meteorologist. She delivered several daily regional Caribbean forecasts for One Caribbean Television while presenting the weather during live local morning and lunchtime news programs.
Two years later, she moved to Louisville and joined WDRB News. She developed the ability to report on extreme weather while expanding her social media audience to engage with viewers. As a result, there was more content for the internet and social media.
