Bilbrey, the youngest of three children, was born in Cookeville, Tennessee to Leo and Ethel Bilbrey. His interest in radio began in fourth grade, and he received his broadcast license at the age of 14.
Soon after his sixteenth birthday, Bilbrey began working at Cookeville’s WHUB. He worked at WHUB for six years. Keith attended Tennessee Tech University from 1970 to 1973, where he was a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity.

Bilbrey is also the announcer for “Music City Roots,” a weekly radio and TV show broadcast live from The Factory in Nashville on Wednesday nights (www.musiccityroots.com), as well as the host of the “Roots Radio Hour” on Hippie Radio 94.5.
He is also the announcer and Larry’s sidekick on RFD-highly TV’s rated “Larry’s Country Diner” TV series (www.larryscountrydiner.com), including live performances in Branson, Missouri, and co-hosts “Nashville Country Cookin'” (www.nashvillecountrycookin’.tv) with his wife, Emy Joe.
