Tobin started her career soon after completing her college studies. She landed internship programs that exposed her to the aspects of weather forecasting. A few years of hard work led her to where she is today.

Tobin began presenting aeronautical meteorological updates and briefing to the British Forces Broadcasting Service (BFBS) and transport crews of the Royal Air Force after moving to RAF Brize Norton in 2005.
