Lu Parker is a television journalist, animal rights activist, businesswoman, author, and motivational keynote speaker from the United States. She works as the co-anchor of the KTLA 5 News at 11 a.m., 12 p.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m.
She worked together with Maria Shriver and KTLA to produce a motivational web series called “The Path with Lu Parker” in 2016. She began her career in television broadcasting at WCSC-TV in Charleston, South Carolina, where she worked as an education reporter and fill-in anchor.
Lu worked as an English literature teacher for students in ninth grade before beginning her broadcasting career. She has conducted exclusive interviews with several famous people throughout her career, including Bradley Cooper, Aretha Franklin, Matt Damon, Barbra Streisand, and Kanye West.

The 43rd Miss USA pageant was broadcast live on television on February 11, 1994, from the South Padre Island Convention Center in South Padre Island, Texas.
Kenya Moore of Michigan, the defending champion, presented Parker of South Carolina with the crown after the final round of the tournament. She went on to compete in the Miss Universe Pageant of 1994 in Manila, Philippines, finishing among the top 6.
