The Los Angeles City Council announced October 30, 2009, as “Pat Harvey” day in honor of her 20 years with KCAL. Harvey has made nationwide appearances as a guest co-host on The Talk, a daytime program on the CBS Television Network, in addition to her anchoring duty assignments.

In addition to covering major local news topics, the seasoned journalist has reported on trips abroad and political conferences as well as presidential inaugurations.
