Harvey anchors the KCAL News programs at five, six, nine, and eleven p.m. She was one of the first anchors of the country’s first nightly three-hour newscast when she joined CBS2 after working for sister station KCAL9 for twenty years.
The Los Angeles City Council announced October 30, 2009, as “Pat Harvey” day in honor of her 20 years with KCAL. Harvey has made nationwide appearances as a guest co-host on The Talk, a daytime program on the CBS Television Network, in addition to her anchoring duty assignments.
In addition to covering major local news topics, the seasoned journalist has reported on trips abroad and political conferences as well as presidential inaugurations. Pat covered the groundbreaking first all-race elections in South Africa, the civil conflict in El Salvador, the HIV epidemic in Eastern Africa and Russia, and more.
