Anthony Yanez is an American meteorologist working at KPRC 2 News Today. He is an AMS Station Scientist Committee member and holds the seals of approval with the National Weather Association (NWA) and AMS.

Yane began his career in sports, then moved to the newsroom as an anchor and reporter. He first worked at KRQE NEWS 13/KASA FOX 2 Albuquerque as a Sports Anchor, Traffic Reporter, Weekend Weather Forecaster, Education Reporter, and General Assignment Reporter.
He then joined KPRC-TV Local 2 in Houston, Texas as a morning meteorologist in July 2003. That month, he experienced Hurricane Claudette and later covered Hurricane Rita which remained a memory to him.
Yanez left KPRC TV and joined NBC4 Southern California in 2015. He worked as a meteorologist for weekday News at noon and weekend evening newscasts. In July 2020, he joined NBCUniversal Media as a weekday evening and mid-day meteorologist.
Yanez came back to Houston, Texas in 2021 and joined KPRC TV again. He now works as the morning meteorologist for KPRC 2 News Today.
Yanez is an accomplished broadcast meteorologist who has received several awards for his work.
