In response to a question, asked in an interview, Benson said, “Gay rights is not something that captures my attention or my passions.” He married Adam Wise in September 2019 in a ceremony attended by 150 of their closest friends and family members.

The ceremony was hosted at the Charles Krug Winery in Napa Valley, California. Benson and the future bride-to-be first met in 2015 when he experienced the most terrifying television appearance of his life. The two later became engaged in 2018.

The Guy Benson Show on FNR provides conservative commentary on politics and society. Most recently, he provided coverage for the 2019 State of the Union address by President Donald Trump for FNR.

Then 14 days before the election, he teamed up with Ed Morrissey and Mary Katharine Ham to write “The Comprehensive Argument Against Barack Obama,” which was published on Hot Air.
