He began working for Fox Sports Net in 1998 as the anchor of the weekly sports program The Keith Olbermann Show. He made a big mistake in 2001 when he revealed that Fox Broadcasting Company CEO Rupert Murdoch was trying to sell the Los Angeles Dodgers baseball team. Not long after, it was revealed that he would be hosting a news and commentary show on Current TV, the cable network that Al Gore co-founded; the new program started in June 2011. Despite this, Olbermann’s contract with Current TV was canceled in March 2012. He started hosting Olbermann on ESPN2 in August 2013.
