Before joining CNN Worldwide, Stouffer covered the shoot-down of the Brothers to the Rescue flights by Cuba and the ValuJet disaster in the Florida Everglades while working as a general assignment reporter and weekend anchor for WSVN-TV in Miami from 1994 to 1996.
