He worked for Congressional Quarterly, The Hill, Politico and a number of other renowned publications before joining CNN in September 2015.
During the attack that happened on the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021, Raju was broadcasting from within the building and provided real-time updates on the events that were happening around him. He  was promoted to the position of Chief Congressional Correspondent for CNN in 2021.
