Who is Chris Gailus?
Chris Gailus is a Canadian journalist and anchor of The News Hour on Global Television (BC). The News Hour is an up-to-date affairs program that airs throughout the province and targets subjects that British Columbians find interesting on a local, national, and worldwide level.
He co-anchors the Monday through Friday broadcasts of Global News Hour at six o’clock on weeknights alongside Sophie Lui. Chris started his career professionally in Lethbridge, Alberta and he honed his skills there for three years.
His next stop was CFCN-TV where he worked as an anchor for five years. He then joined CICT-TV in 1997 and made a name for himself there for a few years.
In April 2003, he started working as an anchor for New York City WNYW, where he was first featured on the morning show Good Day New York. On May 1, 2006, Gailus moved to Canada and began working as a weekend anchor for CHAN-TV (Global BC) in Vancouver.
